If you have not read the blog that I wrote a few days ago on the topic of "Redefine success," then please go back and read it. In the Bible, being successful is being faithful, but what does it mean to be faithful?
Let me tell you what the Bible teach us about being faithful. As soon as I think about being faithful, the chapters that come to my mind is Hebrews 11 and 12. In chapter 11, you will find some of the man and women of faith like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and much more. They all are the great example of man and women of faith. As soon as you finish reading chapter 11 though, you will find at the beginning of chapter 12 saying that they are now the cloud of witnesses for you and me. Have you ever thought of that? They are our witness of our faith!!
In chapter 12, the author of Hebrews writes that the Jesus is the founder and perfection of our faith (V. 2). And we are to look at Him and endurance the race that is set before us (V.1), Amen!!
Dear, you and I are running race. We are to lay aside every weight and sin that clings so closely to us. Let me be practical here now: Dear, understand this, this is vital. You and I are running a race that is set before us by our founder and perfection. We are to be like Abraham who leaves his place to follow God's path, like Noah who did radical works that no one had ever seen before. And more importantly, like Jesus who said, Lord you are will be done not mine, and gave His life for you and I. Hallelujah!!
To be faithful, we need to be the man and women of faith. And being faithful does not mean giving 50% to wherever your and whatever you're doing. Think about it: did Abraham give 50% or 100% to follow God's path?, did Noah give 70% or 100%?, did Jesus give 80% to God's will or give 100% (Himself) to God's will? See, being man and women of faith mean, giving 100% to wherever your and whatever you're doing.
Your husband or wife than first, your call is to be faithful husband or wife. You are a son or daughter, so your call is to be faithful son or daughter. You're the member of Church, so your call is to be faithful as a member of a church. Your student, so your call is to be a faithful student. It is the will of Creator that we are to be faithful in wherever we are and whatever we are doing.
In the end: let me remind you. To be faithful, we need to have faith in Christ alone. And being faithful means giving 100% to wherever your and whatever you are doing for the glory of our heavenly Father.
